Description

Wahaka Mezcal is produced by the family of 5th Generation Maestro Mezcalero Alberto Morales with help from the community of San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca. Wahaka Ensamble is one of the most unique members of the Wahaka suite. This mezcal is a blend of maguey Espadín (50%), Madre Cuishe (25%), and Tobalá (25%) that are cooked, fermented, and distilled together. This Ensamble is full-bodied and carries the distinctive floral aroma of the Tobalá. At first sip, it takes on the characteristics of the Tobalá, which then moves into the earth, mineral and citrus notes found in the Madre Cuishe.

Wahaka Artisanal Ensamble is the embodiment of traditional mezcal. Straight or mixed, the balance of smoke and sweetness mark the start to your mezcal adventure.

AROMA: Vibrant but savoury. Nice balance, with lots of brine and earth.
TASTE: Really clean, wet, and welcoming like a summer rain that cools you off on a hot day. Pepper, clay and faint tobacco to round it out.
ENJOY: Sipping mezcal is enjoyed slowly and with friends. Makes premium cocktails.
