This special and limited edition Siete Leguas 7 Decades blanco tequila is a must have for all tequila lovers. Only 70, 000 bottles were made worldwide in honour of the brand's 70th anniversary. Made exclusively from agave criollos (wild grown agave) it is also 100% tahona crushed and distilled to 42%. This is every bit what was like 70 year ago - artisanal and authentic.

On the hillsides, where the slopes are steep, the agaves criollos grow wild "in nature’s hands". Here, the plant depends on rainwater and ripens more slowly, producing a smaller but richer piña.

After an extended period - up to 10 years - it is the turn of the jimadores of Casa Siete Leguas, who will face the challenges of mother nature - just as the agaves did - by performing the jima in a heroic way among the steep slopes.

History: The Tequila Siete Leguas distillery was responsible for producing the "original" Patron Tequila brand, before brand rights were sold to St. Maarten Spirits, owners John Paul DeJoria (Paul Mitchell Hair Products) and Martin Crowley in 1989.

AROMA: Sweet aromas of cooked agave fill the air from the moment the bottle is opened. It is earthy and mineral. There's citrus, butter and anise and mint
TASTE: The flavour is sweet sweet creamy cooked agave, with a thick and oily mouthfeel. And the finish is long and sweet. Seriously long finish. Here’s proof that you don’t need additives to make a sweet tequila. This is exceptional.
