The venture into tequila started out as a family project when Adolfo's father was ready to sell the family ranch but agreed to keep it on the condition Adolfo finds a way to make the land productive. Against all odds and advice, Adolfo decided on agave growing.
Using science, Adolfo developed an organic protocol that would see his agaves raise interest amongst the best growers in Mexico. The average weight and sugar content (brix index) of the agave are some of the highest in the country.
Alquimia tequila was established to honour the family legacy and demonstrate that a high quality product could be produced with environmentally-friendly, sustainable methods.
